1. We're Specialists

At Catalyst, our primary business focus is on understanding and documenting user requirements, and helping our clients translate these requirements into usable interfaces. This is why Fortune 500 companies turn to us to help them make the essential connection between the design of their products and services and the needs of their customers.

2. We're Flexible

Experience has taught us that, as important as it is to follow an established process in the execution of a project, it is doubly important to know how to adjust a process to fit the needs of a particular client. Every client has its own unique organization and internal processes that we must (quickly) learn to work within. This is why we've learned to customize our process and our deliverables to our clients' organization and internal capabilities, while still remaining independent, objective, and opinionated to be useful (and, very occasionally, a pain in the neck).

3. We Understand

We don't bait and switch. We don't overstaff projects with under-experienced resources. We quote projects on a fixed-price basis. We don't charge for faxes and photocopying and, if clients come to our offices for a meeting, lunch is on us. We understand that keeping project scope and costs under control is as much our responsibility as our client's. We understand that if clients don't enjoy the process of working with us, or don't feel that we have contributed meaningfully to the success of the project, then we have essentially failed (even if we delivered what we said we would). We do what we do because we sincerely believe that our experience and capabilities can help clients better serve their customers' needs while meeting their own business objectives.
