PubSub? II
So last week, we were wrestling with the function - and therefore credibility - of PubSub, the prospective search engine. I outlined a three-part strategy for giving the place the benefit of the doubt - starting with the dubious approach of sending an email to the general query address.
A point in their favor: within two hours, someone named Duncan Werner replied to my email. A point deducted: he didn’t explain why the engine wasn’t working, and offered no timeframe for it picking up our feeds. He simply said to wait.
So, we’ve waited - and sent him one more email. Pending a reasonable reply, it’s on to emailing the CEO.
PubSub, right now, is looking like it’s all hat and no cattle. Gets a million hits on Technorati….so maybe it’s us. But the bottom line at CoFactors is that - regardless of technical expertise - it should be possible to get something like PubSub working.
So far, no good.

NB: This time Duncan got back to me within 40 minutes, and said there were indeed technical problems. Another point for responsiveness - so they are back on the board.
We’ll see how it goes.
