Our Usability Testing Lab
Towards the end of last year, we worked hard to complete construction of our in-house testing lab and I’m very happy to be able to announce that the lab is now finished and open for business! Here are some photos (click to enlarge):
The lab consists of a testing room near the front of our office that is connected via video feed to a glassed-in conference / viewing room in the back. Picture-in-picture video from the testing sessions in progress is projected onto a screen in the viewing room, which can accomodate up to 8 people. Of course, the room is equipped with internet access so that clients who attend the testing can keep up with email and other work.
We have already conducted several successful tests in our new lab. Clients tell us that the room is very comfortable and the video setup is a great way to observe the tests in action. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that we are located in the “Meatpacking District” — one of the most exciting neighborhoods in the city at the moment. There is abundant shopping and great restaurants of every type within walking distance — many of which (believe it or not) will deliver, which means you can enjoy some of the finest cuisine New York has to offer and improve your website or application user interface at the same time! Two top-notch hotels, the Maritime and the Gansevoort, are also right around the corner.
We’re excited about this change. Feel free to get in touch if you want more information.
