CoFactors Holiday Buying Guide (Pt. 1): The Plantraco Butterfly
The Plantraco Butterfly is a tiny radio-controlled airplane (like an ultra-tiny “ultra-light”) intended for use indoors. The Butterfly is the first item on our 2005 Holiday Gift Guide because it’s yet another reason that technology has given us to avoid going outdoors whenever possible — perfect for the barefoot, couch-surfer on your list. But don’t take my word for it, check out the extra long demo video on the Butterfly website. Yeah, that’s a guy flying a tiny plane around in a circle in his living room. And yeah, he’s barefoot and maybe giggling just a bit too much. Come to think of it, maybe he shouldn’t be driving in his condition. At $239, you definitely don’t want the Butterfly attempting a crash landing on the étagère.
