Cable & Wireless, a major international telecommunications conglomerate, has worked with Catalyst several times over the years. Most recently, C&W; was preparing to radically restructure its business, including exiting the domestic US telecom market. The company requested visual branding, user interface and information architecture for a complete website redesign and migration to a new Content Management System (CMS). Catalyst's mandate included fresh online branding for C&W;'s global site, as well as crafting an audience-driven framework for that site that had to provide superior navigation, while still accommodating certain content and functionality that would not change. Catalyst identified and mapped user-navigation scenarios and refined C&W;'s suggestions for information architecture relating to those scenarios. Ultimately, Catalyst delivered multiple visual branding treatments and HTML page templates for the entire site. We also created a navigation system and style guide that enabled widely divergent audiences to derive individualized benefits from a common set of case studies.
